Matthew brought Ms Yuki down and had dinner with Jerry and I tonight. Poor kid has been fighting a cold, sounds like the worst of it is behind him and now he just feels run down and tired. Ms Yuki on the other hand is a typical 2 1/2 year old, full of energy wanting to play catch and be the center of attention. Grams was of course happy to make sure that she got her fair share of loving from Yuki. She’s doing so well, running and jumping so strong. Her front right leg is getting really strong and her sense of balance is better every time we see her. I think it’s time for Matt to have a bit of time off to recoup, maybe some pt and even a vacation! Yeah, that’s it!

Well it happened, I got my stitches out, all 4 of them! Seems putting the Aloe Vera Gel on the incision helped me heal faster and most of the stitches have already came out on their own! Woo Hoo!

Dad, of course video taped the event, & Grams took pictures. I sure love those two :) That’s Joey, on the left, with all the tat’s, who took out my stitches, and Mitzey on the right who looks like she needed to hold me down. As if! Geezz….

Yuki: I did a bad thing! My stitches itched so I scratched them! I had to go back to the vet’s office to get more medicine. Grandma also rubs Aloe Vera Gel into my stitches…ooohhhh it feel sooo good! The vet told grams that I should wear grampa’s t-shirt & sock so I won’t scratch myself though. Sure hope it helps, I don’t want to be doing that anymore!

Then, she slept like an angel, woke up this morning & accepted her loss. She sprung out of bed, leapt up at me & begged to go outside & play fetch!

He also quoted Yuki as saying:

“I’m a cheater of death. I was rescued from an abusive home that left me to die tied to a fence, escaped death-row at the shelter on the 11th hour and survived being hit by a truck. Although I lost a leg in the accident, I haven’t let it slow me down!”

Yuki was a such a good girl going to the Veterinary Hospital this morning! She jumped right up into car, surprising Gramps and Grams at her new agility! She walked right beside Megan, the office girl and never complained when she was taken into the back part of the vets office…she’s such a brave girl!! Grandma on the other hand had to hold back a tear or two… :)
