The morning after Yuki’s surgery Matt wrote this on his facebook wall page:Yuki cried & cried last night until I thought my heart would break. Then, she slept like an angel, woke up this morning & accepted her loss. She sprung out of bed, leapt up at me & begged to go outside & play fetch!
He also quoted Yuki as saying:
“I’m a cheater of death. I was rescued from an abusive home that left me to die tied to a fence, escaped death-row at the shelter on the 11th hour and survived being hit by a truck. Although I lost a leg in the accident, I haven’t let it slow me down!”
