One of the fun outings I did for my double nickle birthday this year was go out to dinner with my sweet hubby Jerry and wonderful son Matt along with a group of friends. We went to Outback Steakhouse and had a good ole’ time! I had asked the waiter, Andrew, if he would take a group photo of us after we sat down. He said he would, but asked if he could take it later as he was busy getting the dinner orders in from all his tables. When he never offered to snap it later I took it upon myself to orchestrate it. Matt snapped this photo of me with Jill and Karen first. Jill and I were in our happy mode, me from my cadillac margarita and her from her tall beer. Karen, well she always has troubles with that darn flash.
Next on the list were the young’ens; Patrick, Steve and Jill’s oldest son, Matt, of course our youngest son, and Alex Jill and Steve’s youngest son. Yup, Alex experimented with his choice of hair color with college friends. It actually looked pretty good in person. Photo courtesy of me.
Never last or least was the one of the guys taken by Matt. If you knew Terry, on the left, well, you would be able to tell he is up to something no good. Turns out he was grabbing my cane that I had minutes earlier given to Patrick to nudge him into behaving. Yeah, that didn’t work. Jerry kind of gives it away with that extra special handsome grin of his. And Steve, on the right, just a few seconds ago was picking his teeth….
Oh and Patrick earlier got a little preterbed that I was taking photos of him. His dad Steve looks on as if his reaction is a common occurance. I do like to document what goes on, don’t I?
Like in the photo where just as Matt was taking the picture Alex looked at me and opened his eyes really wide and I stupidly followed suit! What was I thinking? Maybe that Jill would overshadow it with looking adorable in her glasses!
Is it me or does Patrick look like he’s getting aggressive again here? Looks like Matt thought so and started to bolt, and me? I got scared and blurred the picture! Alex must think it all means nothing because he’s smiling like there’s no tomorrow. Maybe from the hair dye? (jk!)
