Life has a way of giving that’s always amazed me. Jerry and I often frequent Fuddruckers, the best fresh burger joint in town. We first went here when we were looking to rent a house after Jerry had gotten at job at the now extinct San Bar, in Lake Forest. We had been living up in Glendale at the time where Jerry was working for JPL. We were solo on our trip this time, the kids were left with a babysitter so we could focus on finding a place. At the time there was only 1 Fuddruckers close by, in El Toro, and we were both surprised at just how good Fuddruckers hamburgers were. The buns were soft and fresh, the hamburgers and fries delicious. I love (and shouldn’t have but did) their vanilla milkshakes.

Along came and went Pat & Oscars out in Foothill Ranch, and we were delighted to see a Fuddruckers take it’s place. We met and enjoyed the company of Holden, the manager at our new hangout, and soon met and fell in like with Patricia, the shift manager from Buenos Aires. Such a spirit full of joy she is! At one of our visits Holden told us a big birthday was coming up for Patricia. Since we share the name and she always made us feel so welcome, I decided to make her one of my handmade cards. Because she was from Argentina I decided to make the card in honor of her place of birth.

Since then we have become good buddies. We are even thinking of where we would like to go on vacation to! There might be a milkshake there, but I’m thinking more like a margarita or lemon drop or two! Thanks for everything Patricia!
